TD icon creator is a program made by us. It makes it easy to make icons and cursors.
You choose between 2, 16, 256 and 16.7 mill. colours and make these sizes: 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64 and 72x72. That means that you can make all the icons that are useful for windows.

This picture shows the main screen of the editor. On the left side, you have a some tools. On the right side you have a colourpicker. Below the drawing area is the palette.

Tools:

The tools are the most common tools in drawing programs. You have a cut/replace tool, colourpicker, pencil, brush, line, fill, rectangle and circle. The last two can be outlined or filled.

The "hotspot" button is for cursors. This is the point where the mouse points to (for example the top of the arrow).
The hotspot is shown as a circle in the drawing area.

Above the tools, you can see some information about the file. It shows the size of the image and the number of colours used in the image.

Colours:

If you're using 16.7 mill. colours, you can use any colour you want. If you're using less colours the colours are stored in the palette of the image.
The palette is shown at the bottom of the window.
When you make a new file, you will get the default palette where the 16 first colours are the standard windows colours. If the colours of the screen are set to 16 it will show this colours.
When you pick a colour in the colourpicker the computer will find the colour in the palette that match best. To edit the palette you have to double-click the colour.
The edit palette window will appear. Notice that if you edit a colour in the palette, all the pixels that are drawn in that colour will also change.
In the edit palette window you can also choose to load a palette. The nearest matching colours will be used. You can greyscale your image by loading the greyscale palette or just by clicking greyscale in the Options menu.
Click on the button "Trsp." for transparency colour. When you use this colour you can see the background colour of the window or desktop throught. You can choose what kind of colour you want to be dispayed in the background. This colour will also be displayed as the background of a gif file.
TD icon creator can also load jpg's, gif's and bmp's. You can use a part of the picture to make a new icon, or you can squish the picture into one little icon (This can take a little while).
